Submission

A submission constitutes a request to commission a portrait and does not, of itself, form a binding contract. A commission is confirmed once the Service and the client agree its composition, artist, dimension, period, and terms in writing.

Deposits & balances

A deposit confirms a commission; the balance is due upon approval, before delivery. Fees paid, including the artist application fee, are described at the point of payment. Refunds are handled according to the stage of the work.

Reference material

The client warrants they hold the necessary rights to any photographs submitted and that the Service may use them for the commission.

Approval & delivery

The completed portrait is presented for review before delivery. Title passes to the client upon settlement of the agreed sum.

Nature of the work

Each portrait is an original work of interpretation painted by hand.
